Ulcers heal slowly.: No, bed sores or pressure ulcers as they are called are caused by unrelenting pressure on skin and underlying tissues from the outside and bone on the inside. The damage starts from the inside and the injury to the skin is later. These can be staged as minimal injury upto full thickness loss of tissue due to necrosis. All ulcers of this type require pressure relief and take time to heal.
