Rest: Recovery time after exercise is critical. Research has shown that tendons take about 72 hours to regenerate after exercise. If exercised prior to this the tendon is actually in a negative recovery state and is degenerating instead of recovering and rebuilding. If exercise is done too repetitively then one will experience an overuse injury.
