Traumatic insult: Like any other traumatic injury to soft tissue, it will take a few days to heal. Rinsing with 1 tsp salt in 8 oz room temperature water 3x/day may help. Dabbing Orabase-B or Oragel onto wound with a q=tip may help. ! 200mg Advil/Ibuprofen/Motrin every 4 hours may help. next time opt for potato chips.

Be gentle : Like other wounds in the body, keep it clean. Gentle rinsing with salt water, 1/2 tsp of salt with one cup of warm water and rinse 3 to 4 times a day. Stay on soft diet and avoid hard crunchy foods. If not better in 3 to 4 day or it becomes swollen, see your dentist.
