Liver Damage: Yes. Of course. You must realize that this kind of liver damage can lead to cirrhosis just as if this trouble was caused by infection or alcohol. Everything toxic to the liver must be avoided, weight loss and low carb eating is also strongly advised as this is the way to pull back from the liver damage this is causing.

Fatty liver: Lose weight if overweight, cut out alcohol if using; cut out simple sugars, starches, decrease fat in diet. Get followed up. Sometimes, fatty liver leads to chronic inflammation, even scarring in the liver. Check meds with doc. Can be reversible, but needs diligence and follow up.
