3-5 minutes: It takes 3-5 minutes for the glaucoma medicine to be absorbed into the eye. You can increase absorption by placing your finger in the corner of your eye and pressing gently. This blocks the small tube that drains the medicine out of your eyes and into the nose. You lose about 1/2 of the medicine if you do not do these steps.
