Herpes: If you have herpes 1 and 2 you should have two test results, not just one. If there is one then something is wrong and it is impossible to guess which of these are truly positive. I need more information.

No medication needed: It means that you have been exposed or infected in the past with herpes simplex virus. Some tests will specify which type (1 or 2) . It means that you can from time to time have recurrences. When the inactive (or "latent") virus starts to actively grow again, you may have sores or ulcers on your lips, skin, or genitals. Some people take medicine to prevent recurrences or to help symptoms.
