A member asked:

I have reactive hypoglycemia, is it ok for my fasting glucose to be sitting at 6.5 to 7.0 mmol with this condition?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: In my 35 years of practice, I have never seen a case of reactive hypoglycemia. The disorder doesn't exist, if you're overweight the symptoms are a natural response to your glucose level returning to normal. Don't waste your money on a GTT or any fad diets of treatments. Lose wt if heavy. Remember, glucose meters are not very accurate in the low normal to hypoglycemic ranges.
