Can 3 mg of melatonin, 7.5 mg of buspar (buspirone) and 10 mg of lexapro cause seratonin syndrome. took melatonin for 1st time last night and feel aweful today.

Melatonin: At those doses serotonergic syndrome is very unlikely. Possible se’s from melatonin include: feeling tired the next day, sleep walking, nightmares, vivid dreams, dizziness, confusion, headache, GI upset, v libido, v sperm count, gynecomastia in men & mood changes.

It would be best to discuss this with your Psychiatrist. If you are not confident with your Doctor see another for a second opinion. It's good to have a physical exam to rule out illness. Sleep is very important for physical and mental health. You may need a sleep study to determine why you can't sleep. Also consult with a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy.
