See below: Sounds like acid reflux to me. Sometimes drinking water instead cold helps those with reflux.

Sudden gas / burps: Are not from drinking water. It is from food that you have eaten . Need to keep a log of what you eat and go over them w your physician .Starches are common source of intestinal gas .You may suffer from reflux , lactose intolerance , aerophagia (swallowing more than a usual amt of air while eating, drinking or chewing gum), anxiety, constipation.Peptic ulcer, irritable bowels...
