I have a bug bite that swelled up like mosquito bites and now its flat, red and sore. should i be worried?

May be infected: Since it is red and tender, it may be infected. Any bite can get secondarily infected. I recommend warm water compresses followed by topical antibiotic ointment eg. Polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) ointment two times per day. If it does not improve and the red area expands, please see your physician for further evaluation.
