Stimulant medication: Ritalin (methylphenidate) and Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) (dexamphetamine) are stimulant medications (like caffeine) approved to treat add. They can improve focus and attention in anyone, but have a marked effect for people who have add (attention deficit disorder). Although sometimes "abused" they should not be used unless needed for add symptoms as they may increase heart rate and blood pressure in some people.
