Sepsis isn't...: Sepsis is the result of the bodies response to overwhelming infection, but not an infection in itself. Some organisms that lead to sepsis are contagious and others are not.... Ask the ICU attending if you should go in to see the patient and tell her/him you are pregnant. They should let you know.
