Lots of things to do: Volume matters: more that's in stomach --> higher pressure --> more reflux. Eat smaller meals, stay upright for at least an hour afterwards. Avoid tomatoes, citrus, chocolate, caffeine, peppermint, alcohol, and fatty foods -- these all make reflux worse. There are no foods that help. Put head of bed on 6' sturdy blocks. Avoid tight clothes. Take a powerful acid blocker (prilosec/prevacid).
