Throat lump: One of the more common problems that causes this problem is reflux. Reflux is pretty common and reflux to the voice box, which is called laryngopharyngeal reflux (lpr). This is one of the hallmark symptom. In order to be sure, you should really have someone take a look at it to make sure it isn't something more serious.
