Can grinding your teeth make them wonky?

Bruxism: Bruxism, or grinding of the teeth can cause some loss of tooth structure as well as bone loss, which can lead to the teeth feeling loose.

Sometimes but......: Grinding your teeth may or may not be the cause of your teeth feeling "wonky" or loose. I have seen many patients with evidence of severe bruxism but their teeth are solid as a rock. I have also seen teeth that are definitely mobile with full bone support but loose from bruxism. There are many other causes of teeth not feeling solid so be sure to see your own dentist to determine the cause.
