Yes: Grinding teeth may result in tooth pain. Teeth are held in the bone with ligaments which act as tiny shock absorbers. Constant grinding may cause inflammation of the ligaments resulting in sensitivity. Also severe chronic grinding can wear away the enamel. The underlying dentin has tiny tubules containing nerve fibers. Exposure fo these fibers can result in pain.
