Dentist can: But you need to have the dentist determine if the tooth can be restored. You don't want to extract a tooth that can be easily restored. See a local dentist for more info on your problem.

Painful tooth: The best thing to do is to see a dentist to find out why you are having pain in your tooth. There may be other treatment option for your tooth.

Evaluate by dentist: Have the tooth evaluated by your dentist. There are many variables for pain, including sinus involvement, especially this time of year. Many patients that have spring time allergies come in with dental pain of the upper teeth and it is referred from the sinus area. Always be conservative and try to save your tooth if dental caries is the cause.
