Different options: Fraxel and dermabrasions work well for acne scarring, as long as the acne is under control. It usually requires at least 3-4 treatments; make sure to discuss risk or hyper pigmentation with different treatments. Also there are dermatologists who perform. Silicone droplet injection for this. Good luck.

Acne Scars: There are different treatments for acne scars depending on severity and cost considerations. Treatments include but are not limited to mechanical dermabrasion, laser resurfacing, and surgical scar revision. The treatment program and costs vary with the extent of the scarring and number of treatments required. See a dermatologist or plastic surgeon to check out your options.

Laser resurfacing: Laser resurfacing using a co2 or erbium laser is the best option for improving acne scars. I have also had some success with subcision (going under the skin with a large needle to release the scar tissue), microneedling, fillers and injection of fibrin rich plasma to the area.

Time, time & more : Time is your best friend. Avoiding sun exposure and cigarette smoking are great. Onion bulb extract ( allium cepa) may help as well as honey for some active infections but these later two are controversial.

Specialist care: A physician with a specialty focus can make them less visible, though not remove them, using dermabrasion, microsurgery, laser treatment or filler injection. I'm sorry this happened, as all acne can be managed today using evidence-based medicine.

Accurate RX: Is probably the single most effective treatment to minimize acne scarring and prevent future outbreaks but it is not without risks and does require superb union by a physician. Discuss your candidacy for this protocol with a dermatologist.
