Perianal abscesses: Are gen painful.What u r referring to a non painful abscess, may not be an abscess.It also depends on how long have u had it for and if its recurrent.If you have chronic perianal drainage then u may have a fistula.You need an exam by your family doc and a likely referral to a surgeon.Once its diagnosed properly you can discuss the treatment options.If its an abscess and not going away umay need i&d.
