A member asked:

Is it tachycardia when your resting heart rate is over 100 or any heart rate over 100?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tachycardia: Technically that is resting hr. Elevated hr with exercise would be appropriate compensatory tachycardia. Relative tachycardia can be found in patients with resting heart rate that is low and elevation by about 30 BPM above that. Not really tachycardia but behaves like it in person in that situation.
