A member asked:

Is doing an ecg, blood test, chest x-ray, and echocardiogram enough to find a pulmonary blood clot?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

These: Tests can often suggest the diagnosis. The diagnosis can be definite if the echocardiogram shows clot in the proximal pulmonary arteries. Ct pulmonary angiogram or nuclear medicine ventilation/perfusion scanning are usually needed to provide a definitive diagnosis.
