Perfusion?: Is it possible there's a typographical error here, and you might have exchanged "profusion" for "perfusion"? Perfusion means the flow of blood through an organ in order to allow gas exchange. Along with the radial artery, the ulnar artery delivers oxygenated blood to the hand -- or, "perfuses" it.
