Heel pain: You may have a tight heel cord and this may cause pain when switching to flats. See a physical therapist for stretching exercises or enroll in yoga classes to help stretch your calves and legs. Hope this helps.

Consider wearing : Orthotics. I would work on achilles' tendon stretches as well. You may want to consider visiting a physical therapist for a good stretching program.
