Doubt it but...: Transmission usually occurs via direct skin-to-skin contact, seen most commonly in overcrowded living conditions.Scabies tends to peak in colder seasons, probably due to increased crowding and prolonged survival of mites away from the host in cooler temperatures. Young children and the elderly are most frequently affected. There is no gender or ethnic predominance.
