Most R safe: Most allergy preparations are relatively safe for the infant, however some will diminish milk volumes more than others. Tavist (clemastine) products are possibly harmful as are products with decongestants. The longer acting products appear to have less influence on volume and are more suitable for use. See:hale t "medications and mothers milk", 15ed 2012.
