Cat shots: You can achieve long term relief from your allergies by getting desensitized with allergy shots. The response to the cat allergen serum is around 95%. You should consult an allergist and discuss your options. They do not affect breasfeeding, but cannot be started if you are pregnant.

Changes: For now, try keeping the cats out of your bedroom and your baby's bedroom. Ideally, keeping them confined to a few rooms can minimize your exposure. After caring for them or washing them, change clothes and wash your hands and face. Try nasal saline rinses as well to minimize your symptoms.
