A member asked:

Which anti-allergy is safe for a breastfeeding mother?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

There are some: Cetirizine and Loratadine are 2 considered relatively safe during pregnancy and breast feeding. Thorough studies have not been done in humans (no volunteers!) so they cannot be considered completely safe. Very small amounts get into breast milk and what ever gets absorbed gets metabolized by the infant's liver before circulating. So not much left. There are also prescribed for young children
