Medications.: You need to evaluate the nerve function. Probably. With a nerve conduction study. There are several meds. That can help too.

Assuming you: Don't have diabetes, or a family history of diabetes, than, generic shot-gun approach includes medicines that quiet the nerves from firing and screaming all day long at your brain that they are irritated, like lyrica (pregabalin). Consider a sympathetic rhizotomy for lasting relief. Visit your nearest interventional pain doc for details.

Peripheral neuropath: The treatment is similar to peripheral neuropathy with known cause like diabetes, chemotherapy. It might include medications like antidepressant, anticonvulsant, therapy, injections like sympathetic block, and spinal cord stimulation.

No Definitive Rx But: As long as it is truly idiopathic peripheral neuropathy, treatment options are limited to treating symptoms with medications such as Lyrica (pregabalin) or Neurontin. I have had some luck in patients using a combination of OTC supplements to include Co-Q10, B12, Omega-3s, and Vitamin D but these have not been studied and thus the support is primarily anecdotal.
