No: Misoprostol was initially a drug used to treat stomach ulcers because it causes smooth muscle contraction. Other than gastrointestinal side effects, there isn't typically a lot of harm associated with the medication. Having said that, repeated uses or doses of excess quantity could cause harm. If you aren't sure if you're pregnancy a urine pregnancy test would be able to tell you.

CAREFUL!: Misoprostol (cytotec) is a known abortifacient - meaning it can be used as part of a medical abortion regimen. It is recommended that pregnant women not even handle the pills. So, will it harm your health - no - but it is a very significant risk if you are pregnant. Find out if you are pregnant - please - before taking misoprostol!
