Ideal is 6-8 hours: You can use the misoprostol vaginally, in the cheek (buccally) or orally. There are fewer adverse affects if you place the tablets vaginally. Good evidence shows that placing the tablets vaginally 6-8 hours after the mifepristone is as effective as after 24 hours. So the least side effects and most effective is placing them vaginally after 6-8 hours. bleeding usually starts after 4-6 hours.
