Re-examine the issue: My expectation for feeding at that age is 3-5 good feeding days a month & the rest nibbling or grazing.Their interest also shifts to carbohydrates to sustain activity rather than protein to sustain growth. Feed at the table & be sure appetizing food is always available in a for they could sample. As long as the growth rate & activity level are normal, relax.Think balanced week not balanced meal.

Poor appetite: Children triple their birth weight during the first year of life .As a result they have a hearty appetite. Between 12-18 months their growth begins to slow down as does their appetite this is a normal process. Let him "graze"to get him to eat more or let him help you prepare meals.
