See below: The medical literature has no good evidence that calcium iether helps prevent or causes prostate cancer. I would take calsium because we are seeing more osteoporosis in men than ever before.

No real evidence.: There has been epidemiologic data and a phase i clinical trial of vitamin d as a potential chemopreventative agent for prostate cancer, but the data are equivocal. We continue to recommend usrda levels of calcium + vitamin d in our patients with prostate cancer. Especially with metastatic prostate cancer, those on hormones are at high risk for osteoporosis and skeletal related events. Take care..
