A member asked:

Does someone who has pulled a groin muscle which leads to pain in scrotum go on to develop an inguinal hernia in later life?

Not necessarily: A muscle strain injury will heal and likely have no long term consequences. Hernias are more of an abdominal wall or groin weakness that one may be born with and becomes weaker and larger over time.

Should not : A true groin pull should not lead to any increase in a hernia. They are not related.
