Wound culture come back with corynebacterium species my dr said it was gram positive & the clindamycin that i'm already on for mrse should cover what does this mean & what symptoms would i have?

Corynabcterium: It means that if the corynebacterium that is found in the wound culture is causing the wound infection together with MRSA and if it is sensitive to clindamycin, Clindamycin would interfere with the growth of this bacteria in the wound; corynebacteria can cause skin infection, aslo can cause dipthteria ( throat infection caused by corynebacterium diphtheriae) etc...

Multiple bacteria: If your wound is healing and you are feeling well this culture result is not a set back. Sounds like your doc is taking care to control the risk factors that can delay wound healing. Stay under care and get your wound checked frequently.
