Unrelated: If you do stop the medication, use alternate means of contraception. If you are taking certain antibiotics for an infection, they may affect the efficacy of the birth control. Speak to your dentist.

BCP\extractions: Estrogen levels can affect extraction site healing. It would have been better to plan to stop taking the bcp for a few days prior to the extraction.It probably doesn't matter at this point. I would have your dentist examine you to check on clot formation & healing. If necessary, it would be better to address the issue now rather than waiting to see what happens.Call your dentist and ask for advice.

Not likely: Symptoms of a dry socket include a throbbing steady pain that presents a few days after a tooth extraction. If concerned, see your surgeon for consultation. You should be fine taking your birth control pills.
