Blocked duct?: A blocked salivary duct will cause the gland to swell since the saliva has no place to go. This would also tend to give you a dry mouth. The gland may swell more when you are about to eat. Please go see your dentist to determine the cause. If the duct is blocked, serious damage to the gland can occur.
