Nasal Vestibulitis: When the tip of the nose is painful, red and swollen, it is often due to infection of the tip of nose where the small hairs on the inside of the nose are involved. This is a form of folliculitis or infection of these small nasal hairs. It often requires treatment, but the best form of treatment is a topical antibiotic ointment. You'll need to see your provider for evaluation and treatment.
