I have a sore spot on edge of nostril. its swollen and painful, almost like a spot. skin is red. it has come and gone over last 2 months. worried it may be serious. ?

Probable nasal : infection and inflammation which may require topical and oral antibiotics. It should be examined.

Nose skin infection : Sounds like an infection on the skin of the nose. Although, that is a clinical experience guess based on common things I see in the primary care clinic. You need to see a doctor in person, there are definitely other skin conditions this could be.
