How can we get lice nits out of medium length hair. lice treatment stuff doesn't work.?

Pickling vinegar: Soaking/rinsing the hair repeatedly with a stout vinegar solution can weaken the attachment the nit has to hair.They can then be combed out with less effort using a fine nit comb.It is important to get every nit.It may take several sessions over a week to get them all.
