A member asked:

What is the most effective and safe systemic medication for psoriasis that can be taken long term?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See details: The two most effective classes of systemic meds are Methotrexate and tnf antagonists. Each can be taken long term. Methotrexate, imo, carries less risk and except for very severe disease, merits the first try.
