Useful for symptoms&: Preliminary research shows marijuana is very effective in relieving the symptoms of crohn's and can reduce need for meds. High-cbd strains may reduce inflammation & modulate immune function without being psychoactive! see http://www.Projectcbd.Org/ -click on "medicine" then "crohn's." also see http://www.Medicann.Com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/summer2010.Pdf on the benefits of juicing cannabis!

Mixed bag: I agree with dr. Baker, but see in my chronic illness counseling practice lots of pot use, because some GI docs are routinely recommending it to young patients. This is a pain reliever right now; not a cure. Heavy pot use stops people from working on other issues (family, work) that may be fueling the inflammation, not good. Long term use also presupposes that chronic pain (inflammation) is ok.
