Baby hair: Does your baby have a scaly yellow rash in scalp or eye brows? If so this is seborrhea and a likely cause of the smell. I would suggest someone examine the baby to determine whether this is seborrhea or not. Seborrhea is also know as cradle cap and is very common in the first months of life. It is also easily treated.

Hair smell: What is that smell like? Is it the smell she was born with? I find that infants do smell with a "womb smell" for a while that goes away eventually. Let us know what smell you smell.
