Depends: A number of adverse health effects may result from bed bug bites, including skin rashes, psychological effects, and allergic symptoms. Diagnosis involves both finding bed bugs and the occurrence of compatible symptoms. Allergic reactions can get worse with each subsequent exposure.

Although the bed bug: Is primarily a nuisance - secondary infections can occur after scratching bites and significant blistering hypersensitivity reactions can occur in some.
