Time to go in: Time to go see a doctor. You're too young to be this sick with a high fever. Go see a doctor. Also, it is not a good idea to smoke and be on birth control pills - that can lead to fatal blood clots.

Pneumonia is one possible cause of your symptoms. The associated high fever may indicate a bacterial illness and this should be evaluated soon. There are many viral respiratory illnesses such as COVID 19, Flu and Adenovirus which may be considered. Please see acute care and keep well hydrated. Discuss whether a chest radiograph is indicated. Watch for worsening cough and shortness of breath.
