A member asked:

If a woman pregnancy exam went positive in the first try, is she pregnant? and is it necessary to take a blood test exam in order to confirm it ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood test not : Needed. A positive urine pregnancy test is generally reliable. If you have any other signs/symptoms of pregnancy, there is no need for blood test. However, you should seek antenatal care for the sake of your and your baby's health. See this site for more info. http://www.webmd.com/baby/guide/pregnancy-am-i-pregnant.
