A member asked:

Why taking roaccutane prevent the patient from donating blood ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Teratogenicity: Many blood banks refuse donors who take any medicines at all; but roaccutane (accutane in the us) is of special concern because it's teratogenic, meaning it can cause birth defects. So if the donated blood were given to a pregnant woman, it could have serious consequences for the baby.
