Isotretinoin: Deep cystic acne usually needs to be treated aggressively with Isotretinoin the basis of therapy. This is not cheap, pleasant, or entirely risk-free, but you owe it to any teen for whose health you may be responsible to offer effective treatment for this serious chronic disease.

Accutane: It is a harsh medication and has lots of potential side effects, however Accutane (isotretinoin) has been used with significant success for cystic acne. My advice is to exhausted all other options first.
