A pelvic ultrasound: Includes imaging of the uterus as well as the ovaries and the rest of the pelvis. A 3 month fetus in the uterus should not be missed! the ultrasound machine is the same, and most imaging centers also scan in2 ways for both early obstetrical and pelvic ultrasound- through the abdominal wall and through the vagina.

Pelvic US: These are the same us in terms or equipment and ability to detect cysts or pregnancy. At 3 weeks, there is a possibility that a pregnant would not be detected because it is still very early.
