Heart failure, Hi BP: Carvediol (coreg) is a 'beta-blocker' with 2 indications. Carvedilol is used to treat congestive heart failure (chf)= (condition in which the heart cannot pump enough blood to all parts of the body) and high blood pressure. It is used to treat people whose hearts cannot pump blood well as a result of a heart attack. Carvedilol is most often prescibed for heart failure (CHF) --answer your question.
