A member asked:

I have to get a hepatitis b titer because the time frame of my hep b series. what does the titer procedure consist of? also, should my results be okay

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lots of people...: Lots of people get their hep b titers done. It is a simple blood test (just like getting a cholesterol test). The advantage of getting the titer done is that the titer will indicate whether or not booster vaccinations are needed now. If the titer is too low, booster shots are usually needed, regardless of the timing of the shots in the past.
